We don’t want to “sell” software…We want to make sure your shop implements the “right” combination of people, processes and technology (including software), that will help you solve the problems you are experiencing and deliver dramatic improvements to all aspects of your  business.

Summit’s History

Summit was started in 2001 by Frank Terlep and Kreg Jetsel when they climbed a 13,000 foot high mountain and signed their original partnership documents. From the first day Summit opened its doors, Frank and Kreg had the following vision…

  • They wanted to create a company solely focused on providing innovative Business Processes, Digital Tools and Technology solutions to collision repair businesses or repair networks.
  • They never wanted to be the biggest company in the market, JUST THE BEST!
  • Kreg and Frank hoped the company would be ultimately be known as THE INNOVATOR in the collision repair industry (ala Apple)
  • Continually focus on creating technology solutions that any shop could benefit from, are easy to use, powerful, flexible, and affordable.

The Summit Team

The Summit team has more than 170 years of combined experience designing, developing, selling, marketing, and implementing technology solutions for the automotive and collision repair industries.

Frank Terlep, Summit co-founder and CEO has more than 25 years of technology experience in the collision repair industry. Frank has been involved in the design, marketing, sales and implementation of more than 25 different technology solutions that have been or are in use in more than 30,000 auto body/repair businesses in the world.

In 2008 Frank released his book The Digi-Lean Collision Repair™ System which has received many accolades from shops throughout North America.

In 2009, Summit launched its first digital marketing technology when it launched an “OnStar like” smart phone app, called Help I Crashed My Car.

After the launch of the Help I Crashed My Car phone, Frank went back to the “drawing board” to create a complete digital marketing solution that would help an auto body/repair business increase car and customer counts, revenue and profits through multiple digital channels. The result is e-MarketPlace, and e-Marketing Sherpa’s, division of Summit Software, specifically focused on helping auto body and repair businesses utilize and benefit from digital marketing tools, technologies and techniques.

Kreg Jetsel, Summit’s co-founder and Chief Software Architect, has more than 20 years of collision technology development experience. Kreg has been designing software for the collision repair industry since 1990.

During this time he has developed technology solutions for well-known companies such as Mitchell International, BASF, Houston Digital, and others. Mr. Jetsel completed his first commercial product, introduced in 1990, the DOS-based management system named ‘Shop Logic’. In 1994 Mr. Jetsel and his team completed their first Windows management system called Shop Logic for Windows.

Kreg is a true innovator and has been involved in a number of technology “firsts” in the collision repair industry….
